FCCSB and the Environment

We take Creation Care seriously!  We live into our Faith Statement: “We honor the sacredness of creation by working to heal the earth and preserve its resources for future generations.” Everyone is invited to share in the planning and participating in “green” activities.

Going Solar

SB EcoFaith presented a plaque to the church in 2014, recognizing that it was one of the first churces in the area to install solar panels.

Earth Day

We were the first church to have a booth at the SB Earth Day Festival. We promoted good stewardship of Earth’s resources and passed out worms for starting a compost pile!

Green Campus

For many years we have had drought-friendly landscaping and low-energy light bulbs. Also, long ago we switched from paper goods to real dishes for food service.
