Administrative Assistant
Our Administrative Assistant is Anne French.
Her office hours are Monday to Friday, 9-1 and 2-4. Come in and
introduce yourself to her.
Peace Candle is Shared
Our original Peace Candle, received from The UCC Church in Forest Grove, Oregon, has been given to the UCC Community Church in Dublin, New Hampshire. Their paster, Rev. Sarah Thatcher, was visiting here and asked about the peace candle so the tradition was passed on to her church. She writes, "I am so touched and honored to bring this peace candle to our church." New peace candles, provided by our Ministry of Worship, were taken along by Reverend Bill Peterson on his trip to South Africa to be shared with three conregations in that country.
Be a Greeter! The Ministry of Worship is recruiting greeters for church worship -- an essential job, especially when visitors come. Some say that a person's impression of a church is formed in the first minute; so be a friendly greeter and make sure evereyone feels welcome! You find the sign-up list on the conference room bulletin board.

Substitute Sunday Custodian Wanted
The Personnel Committee is looking for a few people to serve as substitute Sunday costodian whenever Roxanne is away or otherwise unable to serve in this role. There is a small stipend for this position which requires being at the church at 9 a.m. and staying until about 11 a.m. Interested? Contact Mary H.-G. or the Church Office.
The flower calendar for 2008 is on the Conference Room wall waiting for you to select a Sunday to dedicate flowers in the Sanctuary. The cost is still $30, payable to the Church.
Director of Christian Education
The Director of Christian Education, Tara Munson, needs more Sunday School teachers. Give her a call if you would like to volunteer. Her work/office hours are Tuesday and Thursday from 9 am to 6 pm, and Sunday from 8 am to 12 noon and 5 pm to 8 pm.

This women's group meets approximately every second month.

Explorers in Faith
A small study group is meeting on Thursdays at 11:00 a.m. in the Fireside Room. This group is self-led and explores and discusses major Christian Theological works. It is open to all, but homework is required. For information, call Peter Preiswerk.
Women's Bible Study
This is for women who want to do serious Bible studies. After the First letter of Peter has been studied, a survey course of the whole Bible has started. The meetings convene at 5 pm every Monday evening in the Fireside Room.
